Why Tae Kwon Do ? The ancient art of Tae Kwon Do is used world wide,not only as an Olympic sport, but as a means of developing discipline, self-confidence, physical fitness and psychological and spirtual well-being. Throughout history Tae Kwon Do has been shown to build good moral chracther in those who practice it.
Who Should Take Tae Kwon Do ? Male, Female, young or old, Tae Kwon Do offers benefits for everyone. Perhaps you are a parent whose child is shy and uncertain, lack confidence, discipline and/or focus. As your child's Tae Kwon Do skills improve and they become stronger physically but also mentally. Your child will then be less susceptible to the peer pressure of crime, drugs and alcohol. Tae Kwon Do has found to increase children's concentration, focus and attention span. Or maybe you are an individual who enjoys competitive Tae Kwon Do or is seeking to develop yourself physically. The physical techniques practiced in Tae Kwon Do not only increases one's physical strength and ability, but also aids in the development of coordination.
Instructors | Master Farouk M. Sheikh Master Farouck M. Sheikh is the head instructor and owner of Sheiks Family Fitness Center located in Newfoundland,Clifton NJ. he has trained in many styles of marital arts for over 25 years. He has traveled across the world to the Middle East, China, Korea, Thailand and Ecuador studying the various international training skills in martial arts. he is currently ranked a 6th Dan Black belt under the World Tae Kwon Do Federation, and is certified in C.D.T. (Compliance Direction Take Down) and has trained as a secret service body guard. Master Farouk's unique training tactics are an inspiration to all his students. Self-defense for women and Stranger Danger Awareness for children, are just some of the programs he teaches. These programs focus on educating students on what to do in a dangerous situation and how they can protect themselves. Master Farouk oversees more than 70 schools throughout New Jersey, he truly enjoys giving to his students his knowledge of a sport he loves so much. A Few Accomplishments 1. State Champion 2. | Stacy Lambe Sheikh Her training began at the age of 8 and has continued to this day. She is trained in Gymnastics, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tae Kwon Do, and her specialty Cardio kickboxing. She is a certified World Tae Kwon Do Federation black belt, and a member of the Professional Dance Teachers Association, and certified with the National Cheerleaders Association. Stacy is a 3 time all around gymnastics champion. She was awarded the best choreographer award for her award winning rountines and her students have won numerous awards and have ranked as National Champions. The overall training she has had throughout her life has truly been a tremendous asset in her teaching. She teaches an average of 30 classes a week in every style she has mastered and particularly her orginal and one of a kind Cardio Kickboxing classes. | | Jeff Lambe Jeff is a graduate of Jefferson Township High School and is in his fourth year of college majoring in Criminal Justice and physical Education. He is a registered black belt wit the World Tae Kwon Do Federation in Seoul, Korea. He has been training for over 16 years. He was a Junior Olympian in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 7, and a 5 time State Champion. He has won over a hundred trophies and medals from Tae Kwon Do tournaments around the United States. He has also won numerous medals in gymnastics. | Fuad Al-Natsha Fuad is a cousin of Master Farouk and a former Marine. He has trained for over 20 years in martial arts. He studied Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido throughout the world. He is a 4th Dan black belt and is certified with the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. During his career Fuad has trained many students who have become champions. He has held the title as the Jordan National Tae Kwon Do Champion and also the Marine Corps Champion. He has been teaching and training students for more than 10 years. |
